Patron Saints

Ven. Fulton Sheen

Ven. Fulton Sheen

This Apostolate was born from watching Venerable Fulton Sheen's talk on confession (click to watch). How much of the suffering and evil in the world today is the manifestation of guilt from abortion?

Our Lady Undoer of Knots

Our Lady Undoer of Knots

Abortion is truly a Gordian knot of pain in our world. But Our Lady can smooth, soothe and straighten even the most complex of problems and the deepest pains.

St. Thérèse of Lisieux

St. Thérèse of Lisieux

She took the name Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face. Her Little Way was a way of simple trust and love of God. She said she could not do great things but she could do little things with great love for God. A prayer of a little kiss, imbued with the confident trust of Saint Therese, and God will hear and answer our prayers.

St. Joseph

St. Joseph

Saint Joseph was the humble protector and guardian of the Holy Family. He showed great faith in God when the angel told him to take Mary as his wife; he always trusted and obeyed God. Saint Joseph is the patron of fathers, families and the unborn. He promised St. Faustina his special help and protection for bringing Divine Mercy to sinners (Diary III 55).

St. Faustina

St. Faustina

The Divine Mercy Chaplet (click to pray) was given to St. Faustina by Jesus. One day when crocheting, she asked Jesus to save a soul for every stitch. He granted her request (St. Faustina's Diary 961).

Sts. Zélie and Louis Martin

Sts. Zélie and Louis Martin

Saints Zélia and Louis Martin were models of holiness and heroic virtue. Works of mercy were the base on which they built their life. They are the first married couple to be canonized together. They had nine children, four died young and five entered religious life. Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, their youngest child, is a Doctor of the Church.

Prayer for Canonization of Ven. Fulton Sheen

Heavenly Father, source of all holiness, You raise up within the Church in every age men and women who serve with heroic love and dedication. You have blessed Your Church through the life and ministry of Your faithful servant, Archbishop Fulton J Sheen. He has written and spoken well of Your Divine Son, Jesus Christ, and was a true instrument of the Holy Spirit in touching the hearts of countless people.

If it be according to Your Will, for the honor and glory of the Most Holy Trinity and for the salvation of souls, we ask You to move the Church to proclaim him a saint. We ask this prayer through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Imprimatur:

+Most Reverend Daniel R. Jenky, C.S.C., Bishop of Peoria
